Our Story
It all began at the turn of the millennium.
Our CEO Darren Hutchinson aka 'The Visual Media Guy' realised that he'd made a mess of his life and something had to change. Led by a foolish childhood dream he blagged his way into ITV Granada in Manchester, England in early 2000 and reinvented himself as a filmmaker and video production expert.
The end of 2002 was a sad time, but also the beginning of another new adventure. Mass redundancies at Granada meant he had to figure out a new plan and the Dreamscope TV brand was born.
Since then Darren has steered the business through amazing times and incredibly difficult times to where we are now. A reimagined company structure, designed to make it simple for every business owner, marketing professional and film hobbyist to create video marketing that gets you noticed.

Everything we do is aimed at helping people. It runs through our blood and is central to every decision we make. And we love every minute of it.
Our Core Services
Videography
Videography is our 'turn up and shoot' service. It's one crew member and we edit your footage into a short promo and a few social media clips. We're flexible with this. On-screen text, basic graphics and production music is included.
Our packages start at £1,400 per shoot (one day) and half-day shoots at £800 are possible in certain (local) circumstances. This includes all edit and two re-edits if required. As with all our productions we help you create a plan to get your video seen by your target audience.
Cinematography
Cinematography is our flagship beautifully-styled production service. It is usually a crew of two people and includes all pre-production, colour grading, styling and attention to detail. It's for when you need to wow!
We edit your footage into a short promo and a few social media clips. We're flexible with this. On-screen text, graphics and production music is included.
Our packages start at £2,800 per shoot (one day). This includes all edit and two re-edits if required. As with all our productions we help you create a plan to get your video seen by your target audience.
Post-production
Sometimes you need existing footage editing, or motion graphics / animations creating, without the need for filming. We can work with stock footage, your own videos and any existing assets to create powerful films.
Packages start from £650 per day and we don't charge extra for up to 2 rounds of edit changes if required. As with all our productions we help you create a plan to get your video seen by your target audience.
VAT is applicable to all prices.
About 90% of our work falls into the three categories above
We can also create a bespoke shooting plan and budget for you. For example if you need a conference filming which requires multiple camera operators and loads of kit, or if you need drone/underwater footage. We'll help you work it all out with honesty and integrity.
